I'm sorry, who is this guy?

Seahawks RT.Played in 9 games for them. He made 1.5 million last season and is rated in the top 10 of the free agent tackles. He'll get a pretty decent deal. Probably around 3-5 million a season on average.

Seahawks RT.

Thanks, I was too lazy to Google him. Mostly cause I couldn't pronounce it let alone spell his name. He would fit in nicely here with the rest of the odd names the OL have.

If what you said was true, he wouldn't get so much hate around here.  If what you said was true, there would be interest elsewhere in Bell and he'd get a decent contract.  Instead, Bell is well below average and he'll probably be re-signing for one or two years at near veteran minimum.  That isn't what an average RT would get on the open market.

My "hate" is much less toward Bell and much more toward our organization for continually putting him in a situation where he simply is not setup for success.  He's not an NFL starting OT.  Keep him around for depth?  Sure.  Keep him penciled in as a starter?  Hell no.  For too long, we kept assuming Bell would take the next step and become the answer at RT.  It's time to stop pretending that's going to happen.  He's simply athletically limited.  The guy tries hard and you can't fault him for not having the genetics to get the job done.

He's a RFA. I'm guessing we just tendered him.

Has he got any LT experience or strictly a RT?

No he doesn't, He was the starter in Seattle from the middle of 2011 to now, they just don't want to tie up a more cap into the OL with them already having two big contracts on the line.

Played TE as a freshmen and Sophomore in college, then played sparingly his Junior season and started at RT his senior year.

Not sure but he was the starter in Seattle from the middle of 2011 to now, they just don't want to tie up a more cap into the OL with them already having two big contracts on the line.

Sounds like a good player, good age too, hopefully we can get a deal done whilst the dolphins are busy signing a LT

sometimes the answer is on your roster.

this would not be one of those times.

Check out this tweet

@NFLDraftBites: Panthers 'Heavy Interest' Seahawks RT Breno Giacomini. Dolphins also interested. Panthers could beat Dolphins MIAM sorts through Left Tackle

With Williams re-signing we've got enough competition at the RG spot. Him, Chandler, Kugbila, not to mention Wharton if he doesn't retire. Williams would've been our starter last year had he not been injured. Bell will play one of the two tackle spots.

Bell cant play LT.  Wharton will say on the left side and could possibly fill-in at LT ... but I hope that is not the plan.
