I have no argument there and its why I question tying so much money into what I consider a luxury player.

Cutting Godfrey would save money.  We can probably end up with a better safety and save cap space in the process.

 

The "sky is falling" people are really starting to get old.  Godfrey will almost certainly be a post June 1st cut and Hardy will be signed to a long-term deal.  We may not sign any marquee free agents, but we'll make moves.

This.  This time last year, I was thinking I'd be thrilled with 10-8.  Not in my wildest dreams did I dare imagine 12-4.  At 1-3, I figured Ron was out and who knows where we were heading.
