Quick turnaround by Lovie?

I expect the Bucs to have a really good season next year provided that there is either a) some progress made with Glennon or b) they find another QB in the Draft (I could easily see Tampa taking someone like Derek Carr early in the 1st).

They have better weapons than us on offense, if their defense catches up to us then it's gonna get rough. At least Glennon suck, so we still have the edge. That pencil neck can't do nothing(yes, double negative intended).

Dude was thrown into the fire as a rookie and held his own. Wtf is your problem

Carr would be the best thing that happened

He has no pocket presence

Glennon did pretty well under the circumstances...

Could you imagine if they signed Vick and Sproles too? They would be stacked on both sides of the ball and we'd be really worried about them. I know Vick will be injured for some games, but what he would bring to that offense would be scary.

I heard Vick got injured reading over the contract.

i look at game changing plays. winning plays. attitudes.

munnerlyn when used correctly is quite the playmaker (sacks and pick sixes), mitchell commanded that secondary (the (audibles, called plays that resulted in corner picks i.e. melvin white. quite possibly the biggest game of the year against the 49ers that really got our season going he came up HUGE.)

these aren't scrubs we are talking about. They're not elite but they are solid players. They are players you want to keep with your core because they round out your team nicely and they can be relied upon. Mitchell took over that secondary leadership position and flourished. It's easy to say they are replaceable when you look at stats. It's the same argument people had with Cam and the 4th quarter because they were not resulting in wins before last season.

Mitchell was the last defender, was he perfect? hell no, nobody really is. Did he take some bad angles on plays? sure. But that man gave our secondary tenacity and viciousness. WR feared him. He brought the thunder that was much needed with our elite front seven.

Can he be replaced? i dont know if there is anybody out there that we can afford that can do that and is a known. I just look at this guy as being on that edge and staying in the same system we could see another jump from him. I want mitchell back more than any of the FA we have on the team right now. He wants to be back, i hope G-man and him can come to some sort of reasonable deal. Mitchell definitely seems like a team player who has more room to grow. The guys intangibles are off the charts.

But look back and see how I started my post---Purely statistical.  However, you are not getting an argument from me using this criteria.

Our Defense should improve from last year with experience gained by the rookie DT's. The offense will be back in the top with improvement from Cam and help from the draft. One trend that stand with Carolina Panthers under Ron Rivera is that we improved every year and I expect the same in 2014 season.

13-3  back to back NFC South champs.

What did you expect him to sit and get paid doing nothing for 4 years behind a vet? lol. Those don't exist anymore. What QB the last few years haven't been thrown in the fire. Getting a little defensive, aren't we? Excuses! Excuses! Excuses!

By the way, pencil neck might not have to worry about being in the fire any longer because

"To say right now that Mike is the answer and he's our quarterback of the future and we're going to build around him and give him a 20-year contract, we're not there," Smith said recently, via The Tampa Tribune. "I like him as one of our quarterbacks right now, but we're going to have at least four in camp and at least one (veteran) will be in the mix. And then you just let it all play out."

Pencil neck will be safe on the sideline. Never need to worry about being burned. lol

You mean like the way the ball slipped through his frail little fingers when he played against us? lol

Joke aside, the kid did play pretty well. Hopefully he does well in the league. Football is a tough sport.

They already possess solid talent on defense with McCoy, Revis, David, Barron and Claiborne. That said, we have Hardy, Kuechly, Johnson, Davis, Lotulelei, and Short. Cam is also far superior than Glennon and we have an actual TE talent in Olsen.

Bring it on. If the rumors about Lovie and Rivera are true, then The Panther/Buc rivalry could be next Niner/Seahawk.

I don't believe those rumors but it's gonna be a rivalry either way.
