LOGAN THOMAS in late rounds?

hes one of my sleepers in the draft. keep focus on OL, WR, and DB. logan is one late rounder worth a flyer, fit seems right. would cam get jelly tho?

As a Tech fan I would be 100% behind drafting Logan in the 5th round or later..... as long as we converted him to TE!

He was recruited to Tech to play TE and ended up playing QB when they realized he had a rocket arm and Cam Newton's size, he just never developed.

We only keep 2 QBs on the active roster and Logan Thomas is not a serviceable backup, so we aren't gonna waste a pick on him...

 

However if he goes undrafted I would have no problem stashing him on the practice squad and having him learn from Cam until he's ready to be the backup

I agree. Especially when it's pretty obvious we need to add multiple players to the OL, secondary, and WR positions between now and the season. If we want a guy like Cam as his backup, look for UDFAs.

But I think we will be okay with Anderson as our backup QB. Plus, drafting a similar QB to Cam in the later rounds sounds like a bad omen :P

Logan Thomas is pretty bad. That said, Anderson might be expendable. No surprise that we interviewed Boyd.

Much rather Connor Shaw than Logan. Shaw might go undrafted or in the 7th.
