Mitchell, Ginn may hit the market

Michell was our brightest spot in the secondary, losing him makes an already weak secondary even weaker

You know, I recently read on SI that Mitchell is overrated.  Of course if I reacted like many people I would have immediately expressed outrage, but I started thinking about it.  It was that writer's opinion that it was the Panthers front seven making Mitchell to appear better than he really is.  Could that be the case?

Now I am not going to pretend to even know the market for safety (i.e., how much these guys will demand), but with guys like Chris Clemons, Antoine Bethea, Ryan Clarke, and Yeremiah Bell,  etc.on the market, I don't see the need to overpay for Mitchell.  Our front seven really should make a lot of people look good, and though these guys would mainly be stop-gap measures, I think that they could get the job done until we are able to draft a better safety (than either one of them or Mitchell) for our future.

Dammit!

Dont let Mitchell leave. We made a mistake before by letting Marlon McCree go. Dont do the same with Mitchell.

Im fine with letting Ginn go. Hes a no3, not a no2.

Just for speculation only, Calvin Pryor in the 1st now if Mitchell aint retain?

Pryor will be gone at 28

There's always money, it's just a matter of how we are going to get that money.

For starters, Godfrey either needs to take a pay-cut or get cut (a restructure does nothing for us at this point except push money to next year).

Just my opinion, but Mitchell should be the number one priority. I love Ted Ginn, but Lance Moore (who is a similar type of player, though he doesn't return kicks/punts) might be a cheaper option.

His numbers speak for itself. 4 int, 66 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 2 FF. Solid ass numbers no way around it. Ill take Mike over those guys you mentioned and he's younger
