No Joke: The players apparently didn't like Gettleman

One thing people forget about is the amount of bonus cash the nfl doles out to players for the playoffs. If we can get there consistently and make some deep runs those bonuses certainly help players buy into the system. Success and security will make everyone on the team more attached than just security.

He has also set the tone so that when it's time to negotiate, every player up will do the same thing he's doing.  If they see that he's business to the extreme, the players will do the same.  It's good to be all business, but hopefully he's personable to make up for it or he'll have all of our stars asking for the supermax contract.

Not good with Cam, Luke, and Star waiting in the wings.

A guy like Gettleman is needed to right the wrongs of Hurney who got way too attached to players.

Hurney's mistake was once he got the super bowl he thought he had the formula to go back and win it which he didn't. He also never replenished the talent pool with quality draft picks. That 2008 team should have sht all of the Cardinals and marched it's way to the super bowl. The one guy he should have replaced years ago ends up being down fall, Jake Delhomme.

And he really shouldn't. It's a business and it's about winning championships. Not giving huge contracts to people that don't deserve them because they are good guys or have been with the team a long time

Yes. Look at the Patriots organization, same thing.
