You don't know what floor means, do you? Also, I'm going to listen to someone that actually worked for an NFL Scouting department and was involved with draft day activities than you. Because frankly, you have no idea what you're talking about 96% of the time.

Lol. Some of you guys. Nvm

As long as we can retain Mitchell, our defensive backfield can continue to be piece-mealed together with minimum-to-average starters. Having said that, it sure would be nice to have an All-pro caliber CB on a rookie contract while we get the rest of the team's needs figured out.

Whichever player, whether it be DB, WR or OL, that gets the best bang for the buck will be our pick at #28. It's definitely our most important pick because of the drop-off in playmaking ability after the first 30 or so players in this draft.

It's obvious what our biggest needs are, it's just a matter of which prospect is sure to be making plays while doing more than just filling a hole from day one and into the playoffs.

If that's a DB, so be it. But a #1 offensive weapon can go a long way to making poor OL play less glaring and vise versa for a better OL covering for WRs that can't get separation before the other teams defense can get to Cam.

Regardless, it's looking like WR or DB is going to be BPA at #28. Just hoping we get the pick right because it is so critical to find that dominant player before all the potentially dominant players from day one are for-sure off the board...

I've done extensive research on Fuller and even went to see him play live (which is awesome by the way, I recommend going to a VT football game; great atmosphere).

Fuller was easily the best man to man corner in the NCAA last year. Drafting him would allow us to finally play more man-to-man. There's not a doubt in my mind that he would excel here. As for the Revis comment; it's Tampa's fault for not adapting to his skill set. Even John Fox learned to adapt to his players playing style: see The Golden Calf of Bristol. Personally I think we are primarily a zone team because our secondary is to weak to play man. However if you want to mold your defense into what Seattle has, you need physical corners that can play press, man-to-man defense.

Fuller also has great measurable's: 6 foot tall, 190, and runs a 4.4... You can't find better measurable's that that for a corner.

I don't like to compare players because it sets players up for failure but many have compared him to Verner's running mate: Jason McCourty.

No we run a 4-3 zone blitzing scheme from Jim Johnson. Stop this nonsense

There are still man to man formations that we run... so I don't see your point.

We also are forced to run a zone defense because no corner on the roster is good enough to play man to man.

No. We run a zone defense because that's the philosophy Rivera and McDermott were teached by Jim Johnson.

Once again, it's not strictly a zone defense. Every team has sprinkled in aspects of man to man and zone in their defensive philosophy. There is not one NFL team that is strictly a zone or man-to-man defense. Is our base defense based (no pun intented) on the zone, yes; but that has no bearing on whether or not man-to-man is also used.

Correct. But we run zone because it's our scheme. Not because we don't have the talent. I suggest you do some research on the Jim Johnson 43 and come back here

I know exactly what the Jim Johnson 4-3 defense is and I'm also aware that we would run more man-to-man if we had the personell to run man-to-man formations as well.

Right now I would say we are probably 75-25 Zone to Man, but with a player like Fuller you could easily bump that down to 60-40.
