Anyone an ESPN insider? I'm interested in who McShay has us picking in his Mock 3.0. ***Beware the Lions***

At #28, I'm thinking my top two choices are gonna be Benjamin and Cooks. I realize they're complete opposites, but I just want weapons and protection for Cam. I doubt there will be an OT there worth the pick, so go weapon.

Exactly what I want. Cooks is looking like a very safe pick while benjamin looks like the perfect compliment to cam. I think if benjamin can show polish at his pro day (consistent hands, sharp routes, upside as a blocker) he will be the guy. Cooks is already very polished, is a complete athlete and is explosive as hell. Only concern is his height and might not be the redzone target we want.

Exactly.  I actually the Smitty comparisons for Cooks are dead on.  I'll be happy if we pick either.  I actually think Cooks will be the better WR, but Benjamin will be the better redzone threat.  Which would we value more?  G'man said he wanted TD scorers, so he may value Benjamin higher.

Selfishly, I almost hope that one is already off the board so that I'm not sitting there having to pick for myself between them.  Now watch both of them be there and we go a completely different direction...

ive been nut hugging kev, so i approve. 5% chance hes there at 28, i just dont see how in a passing league 27 teams bypass him.

lee seems to falling too, even after kev....so that would help my man tears if kev is gone

Hey, if Benjamin proves to be the guy, I'll love it.

I'd much rather have him than a little short guy trying to cover Megatron, Mike Evans, Kris Durham and Joseph Fauria.  I'm sorry, I have a hard time believing that a 5'9" guy could do anything more than reach helplessly for the ball with that group of trees on a consistent basis.

Benjamin, Brandon Coleman and Bryant would make us the nightmare for 6'3" corners, much less the little short ones.

Not really close at all. cooks doesn't attack the ball in the air like smitty. Not many wrs under 6 feet do. smitty was a rare specimen.

Of course Smitty was a rare specimen, but if you don't think Cooks goes after the ball, I question how much you've seen him play.

He's not a replica of Smitty, but he's the closest thing I've seen to Smitty yet.
