I actually think we should pick him up. When we look at a comparable piece from last year he actually proves to be an upgrade. I would think of him as a better Drayton Florence. We could have that opportunity for better veteran leadership with Bailey than with Florence. I would rather be under Bailey's tutelage anyday

This is a very good comparison to the steve smith situation. Here we have a 12 time pro bowler future HOF player who is 35 who got released because of his subpar play with respect to his contract.
