1.Jason Verrett CB

2.Davante Adams WR

3.Cyrus Kouandjio OT

4.Bruce Ellington WR

5.Aaron Lynch DE(he has hurst going a couple picks after which I would prefer)

This would be an amazing draft, never thought about a CB in the first. Ron and Dave have talked about the secondary being a strong position in the draft and how it needs to be addressed so it makes sense

Cyrus' knee is a major concern. We need someone who can come in and start from day one and last the entire season. We don't have the luxury of hoping a player can hold up, regardless of his "potential."

We need a weight-room junkie, bulldog road grater that is balanced and crafty. Mewhort is the one OL that has that type of grit and maturity to step right in and do his job without any questions asked.

They are gonna bring in an interior line judge and I want to stay away from the guys who like to reach because they are gonna get killed for holding. Guys with lower centers of gravity built wide-bodies are going to get better leverage without having to reach or bend too much, plus they are more durable.

I like Ellington's speed and measurables, but don't think he is the big possession receiver we need nor is he a #1 who can draw enough attention away from Smitty so that he can move to the slot, where he can be the most productive.

I'm still campaigning for Kelvin Benjamin because he has all the physical tools to demand a double team and open up the middle of the field for Smitty and Olsen. If The FO feels that McNutt is ready to step into that role as our possession receiver, maybe Id pass on Benjamin and just go BPA if that guy is a DB because I don't see anything but WR or DB at #28 without reaching.

Ginn was a burner but never demanded more than a free safety because of his limited route tree. Ginn did more damage in motion off screens and trick plays than he did anywhere else as he was too easy to jam at the line.

Lafell ran good routes, was an adequate blocker but couldn't hang on to the ball or climb the ladder, so he was easily covered by the nickel back. We really had no slot receiver because Smitty and Ginn were both needed to spread the field, that's why Olsen lead the team in receptions.

If we can get two physical outside receivers that would really open things up for the slot, in-line and for the running game. Add a twin TE on a few plays and things would really get interesting for opposing defenses.

Regardless, I think Benjamin would add the most bang for the buck and is NFL ready, from a National Championship Heisman winning offense. Big-stage, big-playmaker and a big body that can rise-up in the red zone.

Not sure about the Cyrus pick

If his knees are good, then he is worthy of number 1 pick, if they are not good, then I would not spend any pick on him.

Verrett is another very small CB in a division of WR trees.  Maybe a bit better then Munnerlyn of course, but not sure I would go this route for a zone defense.

Thinking our secondary will get better with maturity.  One tall CB and another vet FA should work nicely especially if we keep Hardy

Verrett fits our zone.
