I'm up here in northern VA and listen to Chris Cooley and Steve Czaben on my way home from work. And at 5 o'clock Cooley will always break down film on games or whatever, but now that it's the off-season he's going through FAs by position and ranking his top 3 but not by who's best but who is the best fit (right price/ability/leadership). Today he was on DBs and he went through the Jarius Byrds and high profile, big name guys- but his #1 safety he thought the Skins should go after was Mike Mitchell. As soon as he said his name- I was like

Hahaha I'm with you on that one. I live in Md so I'm surrounded by skins, ravens, and cowboy fans (yes cowboy fans...for some reason a lot of DC people root for the cowboys).

Cooley has been lusting after both Mitchell and Ginn for a couple of weeks now.

I don't think you'll have to worry as we will likely(hopefully) keep Mitchell. He's better and cheaper than Godfrey so its a win/win situation for the Panthers.

It goes back to George Preston Marshall being pro-segregation and refusing to allow black players on the Redskins, a lot of area fans converted to their rival in protest.
