None of them were worth that money.

Kaepernick isn't either.

 

It doesn't matter. Jimbo Fisher, of my alma mater, is not worth his new contract either. The president of FSU is not worth what he is getting. My contracts professor at UT Law is not worth it either.

 

But they are paid in accordance with their peers.

 

Like I said before, Roger Goodell gets paid 44+ million dollars AND WE HAD PEOPLE ON HERE DEFENDING HIM!

 

Colin and Cam is worth every bit of 18 million.

A valid argument can be made for Newton's value.

Until Kaepernick can run something more than a single read offense, no way he's worth anywhere near that much.

Honestly if you only look at playoffs Kap has the upper hand because he has led his team to the SB and a championship game. Cam has done neither. So really his agent cant compare him to Kap or Wilson more Dalton than anyone IMO. Also Luck will be eying Cams contract because they are very similar in comparison.

Ultimately the 49ers are going to have to make a decision. If he is your franchise guy, you need to pay him regardless of his skill set. If they think they can find in FA or trade for or draft a guy that can take them back to a NFCCG and beyond, then they can tell him to kick rocks. The NFL has a huge spectrum of what is considered a franchise QB these days, all with varying abilities. You have your old schoolers in Manning and Brady, your make a perfect pass on 3rd and 11 that completely deflates the opposing team guys in Brees and Wilson, your Rodgers, Cam, and Luck (no I'm not putting them on the same tier as Rodgers, just similar style) that are pocket passers that can also kill you with their legs, and you have guys like Cutler and Romo and Ryan that to me are the guys teams wish they had when they are stuck with a Blaine Gabbert or a Terrell Pryor, so they get paid based on the fact the team could do a hell of a lot worse.

Colin is a one read and go guy yes, but he's done something right to help the team deep into the playoffs every year. 49ers gotta decide if he can continue to do it.

Love Cam. There is very little argument that Cam is worth as much as Colin based on numbers or wins. The only real argument is circumstances such as talent and coaching.

 

I tried to warn yall prior the the playoff game against the 49ers. Colin's stats are MORE impressive because of the division in which he plays in. If he played Stafford's schedule with Stafford's offense I promise you he puts up similar numbers.

 

The fact of the matter is that he came FAR FAR FAR FAR closer to defeating the Seahawks than HOF Manning or Brees.

 

There is much for Young Colin to learn, but he is ALREADY on par with Cutler, Stafford, Ryan, Smith, E. Manning and just a cut below (imo) Rivers.

 

He should be paid as such. So should Cam.

He really believes his hype.  Put Kaepernick in Jacksonville, where there is no defense, a weak OL, and no real running game, and he is a bust.  He got lucky by getting drafted by a team with a good line, good D, and a good running attack.  His WRs and TEs are pretty good too.   Kiss those biceps, Squidward.  Its all you, buddy.

Thank God that our QB, who is much better, by the way, is not leaking to the media his contract demands.  That, to me, is the real issue.  I am concerned that Kaepernick gets his money because Cam would then be in his right to ask for $21m.

 

I genuinely think Cam wants to win, and he knows that making $24m might be great for an ego, but it hurts his chances for Super Bowl greatness.  He knows that he is much better looking that Kaepernick which has helped his endorsements.

 

Kaepernick could argue that he is so ugly he needs to be rich to get a girl so he can stop peforming foreplay on himself in the endzone.

"Any" of the playoff games? I assume you're not referring to the 3TDs and 3 INTs he had this post season right? You can't be taking about his 3 turnovers in the 4th quarter alone vs the seahawks right? Also, you must not be speaking about Kaep's 3 chances to WIN THE SUPERBOWL from the Ravens 5 yard line right? You know, where he threw all 3 passes to "the greatest WR of all time" Crabtree and all 3 were incomplete. I assume you're not talking about any of those games right? But sure, lets keep pretending he can throw :)

And FYI for every singe random ass game vs the Pats that u bring up, i can easily bring up a game like this year where he only threw for 98 yards total vs the Panthers. The dude cant hang. Sorry. Good luck with that $18M contract for a QB that cant progress to his 2nd read.
