They had the same production last season.

 

Productivity is not always an indicator of what a player means to a team, and if you think it is, then you've never played, nor watched, any organized team sports. 

 

Smitty is still the guy that gets the locker-room fired up, that wears the C on his chest, that punches the defenses in the mouth, and he is the guy who draws away the defenders from guys like LaFell, who struggle to get open. Smitty's value is much, much more than just numbers.

Smith: Primary target with a top 8 QB
