This is football. It's not ballet. We had a power-rushing offense and cam is still developing his passing abilities.

You think roethlesberger had a line when they were winning championships? No. They won with marginal wrs, a decent rushing attack and an outstanding defense...same as the Seahawks and ravens.

It's not all on cam, like you say. Not even close. Heck, we had All-pro gross at lt and Cam still got hit like there was no tomorrow. What Lt do you suggest will make Cam get rid of the ball faster? It ain't gonna happen.

Cam has to learn to get through his progressions faster or use his legs more if he doesn't want to get hit as much.

Our running backs need to get better at their cuts and they have to play better as a cohesive unit to be successful. Maybe this is the year it all comes together?

Amazes me how many people think we've tagged him just to move him.

In reality, most tags are used to extend the time for them to successfully extend the player to a long-term contract, or he plays under that contract.

No franchise, not even Oakland, will give up two first round picks for Hardy.

Who said anything about 2?

Love how people dwell on cam holding the ball two long like twice a game, let's forget all he's had is a good LT and centre and Smitty & Olsen the past three years, the guys been left hanging out to dry, he may need to release the ball quicker but he atleast deserves a chance with some weapons and a line, you can't do that when you I put all your money in two RBs and two DEs

My 2 cents ...

1) I think a long-term deal gets worked out before the season starts. I'm not a fan of the tag and how much space it will eat up, Getts knows we have other priorities.

2) I think we have a very underrated and overall better DE on the other side in CJ. Our trio of Addison/Horton/Alexander (or possible FA signing/draft pick)  can still create pressure with CJ drawing more attention. Not to mention our dominant DT's and killer LB core. There are just too many other holes to fill, and since Gross retired, the Oline is definitely our immediate priority. I'm one of the few who wants a Tackle in the 1st, plenty of WR talent will be left in the 2nd.

I love the Kraken, and don't get me wrong, I want him on the team, but that cap hit just doesn't make sense considering our needs. Dream scenario … he gets traded for pick(s).
