Panthers, Hardy talking long-term deal

Do your homework and get back with me.  William's cap is 6 million which is not a huge number,  Stewart is 4.6 million.  Their salaries are even smaller.  Sure they could be smaller but 10.6 million is much less than Johnson's counts himself and together only 8% of the cap combined.

And no we were not on our heels against good teams, we actually won the time of possession battle against most teams and we played against more top 15 defenses and top 15 offenses than any other team in the league.

Too many drama queens around here with their doom and gloom prophesies.

They're not huge hits, but they are two of the ten biggest hits in the NFL for running backs. We spend more on running backs than any team in the NFL except for the Vikings. That represents a massive opportunity cost.

I started reading through this thread again...but quickly came to one conclusion that has been mised.

Gettleman isn't going to sign Hardy to a crippling contract. I'm 100% confident with Gettleman handling this.

I'm looking forward to seeing Hardy continue improving his game as a Panther.

I know this is not a popular thought, and I will add that I had the same thought with Peppers, I am hoping that we can't come to an agreement, at least if we are on his terms.   I would put the non-restrictive tag on him and tell his agent that we would be willing to negotiate compensation for him.  I would take a pair of second rounders for him or a future first rounder (2015).

Panthers will sign him long term and pray the cap rises next year do they can sign Cam.

Well at some point he could be too expensive and curtail any chance of us putting a competitive team together. My understanding is Richardson wants back to back caliber playoff teams and I hope that what G-Man is doing.

which isn't out of line for a team that is committed to the run.

It's out of line for a team who only handed the ball off 372 times last year, and sat right in the middle of the pack in yards per carry. I didn't think I'd ever run into someone who actually defended the running back contracts.

most fans, including you, under value a lot of, if not all bigger contracts in the NFL.

I'm use to it by now.

I'm not saying that the team had to pay two veteran playmakers at running back, but I certainly understand the value of them doing so.
