benjamin had the goldie lock combine, not flashy, not record breaking, and overall not bad...... just right. if he'd knock'd it out, no way he last til 28. he a boom or bust pick, im a fan.

If you really want to get crazy and get the weapons for Cam

Brandin Cooks. 1st rd.

Martavis Bryant 2nd rd.

Bruce Ellington 3rd rd. (or Mike Campanaro in the 5th rd.)

This would have to involve the Panthers filling some needs in free agency, but WOW, what a set of weapons this would be. Cooks is super fast, and has the makings of a star in the NFL. Bryant is a big, fast receiver that is a little under the radar in my opinion. Elington is fast and slippery, and I think he could be very good in the slot. If not Ellington, then Campanaro is gonna be a very good slot guy.

I mean it's not like we're picking #1 overall and there's a sure-thing star likely going on the board when we pick.

 

At 28 you're probably going to end up with a player with some risk.  If Kelvin Benjamin is sitting there when we pick I'd have the pick in just as fast as we got the Star pick in (barring some miracle superstar falling deep in the first round anyway)

I don't know about picking him in the first though, I think he will definitely be gone by the time the Panthers pick in the second but you never know how these drafts pan out so there's a possibility.

When I say safe i'm meaning a player who already has proven they can play on a high level consistently. for example Jordan Mathews. OBJ, Taylor lewan, Zach Martin. A player who is not so raw like KB

Cam needs players that can go get the ball, Benjamin is so big that Cam could just throw it up and let him go get it.  Even if he's a project I think it'd be a pick worth the risk...although considering the lack of FA's the Panthers brought in on the OL I see them taking a tackle or guard.
