Kelvin Benjamin loves the panthers

The KB is "raw" is seriously overblown. Starting to irk me.

And his route running isn't bad at all, just needs some refinement but that can be coached up.

His drops are mainly concentration issues.

More than a willing blocker and has shown toughness.

Marqise Lee turns 23 in November, yet no one mentions that.

I have not seen anything questioning his work ethic or character.

He'd be a great pick at 28, assuming Lee is gone.

He'd be a really good fit here. There won't be a huge pressure on him to be great instantly and we have great WR coaches and a players HC.

I see him developing a good rapport with Cam and his size(catch radius) is a perfect fit for Cam.

We have vet WRs who have great hands and can help him develop as well.

We can bring him along slowly like what the Bears did with Alshon and then explode into being a big time contributor.

Again, I have not seen anything negative in regards to work ethic/character.

He is impressive. For the right price, I would absolutely take him.

IMD, it is 1st round WR, 2nd round LT, 3rd round WR/CB.

What if we do a LT in the 1st? That would make our 2nd a WR? If it is at 60, if he is there? What do you do? KB, most feel, is a year away from being a consistent threat. You cannot coach experience. He will be what he is his 1st year, is a legitimate concern. He comes into camp and get abused by NFL level CBs. Goes into a funk, can't quite figure it out so he doesn't get a lot of reps, because he messes up when he does see the field, growing pains giving, damm this kid type of rookie.

Or, he could come in, take to the coaching and scheme, and by training camp be ready to show out. Just be the guy some think he can be right out of the gate. That could happen? Right?

Umm.... Really? There'd be more pressure on him here than maybe anywhere else he went.

How so? We are a run 1st team. Olsen is our #1 target(like it or not)

Cotchery and Avant are solid vets who will get their targets too.

Add in Tolbert, DWill/Stew will get targets.

KB can start off as a role player/deep threat.

He could be a challenge to coach, but he is one heck of a talent.  Cam could use another big weapon, especially in the red zone.

Here's a scouting report on Benjamin.

Kinda what I think too.  This fanbase has been desperate to add a compliment to Smitty at WR for years and now even Smitty himself is gone.  If we take a WR at #28, the expectations are gonna be huge.  Like it or not, that kid will be trying to fill Smitty's shoes.  The pressure would be less if Smitty was still on the roster.

Ok, it's fine to like KB, but have you really heard nothing about his work ethic?

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000340599/article/fsu-wr-kelvin-benjamin-blows-off-nfl-team-workout

Lol

Firstly that has not been confirmed as true.

Secondly, even if it was, that is not a big issue AT ALL. If he is tired/sore he is well in within his rights to decline a workout. All his tape is there, his combine and pro day is there. Look at what happened to Brandon Thomas. I'm fine with him protecting himself.

Please find a better example of work ethic issues.

I agreed that this hasn't been confirmed, but I'm not sure how you can just brush it off either. With the limited information we have surrounding the story, it's still a red flag. I wonder if you'd be so blase about another prospect missing (one of our) private workouts, and if you're just dogmatically defending 'your boy'. We're talking about millions of dollars on the line here. The scout would understand if the guy was tired, but it's still important to make the meeting. Just good business conduct, really.

I really wish names would be attached to these kind of slanderous comments. NFL teams like to play these draft games, telling kids we'll take you if you're there and all that jazz.

If the team wants to work him out that bad they can invite him to their facility.
