We MIGHT* be tagging Hardy *Zod is in denial

Voth is saying that it looks like the plan is to keep the dline together for one more season.

For one more season? Really!! Why waste all that money if we only have more season with him. Send him on his way. We will take our chances with the back ups. We have way to many holes to fill just pay Hardy for one more season of service. This is Peppers all over again it seems. Smh!!

Not saying Bill Voth's word is truth but he did break the story about Gross (albeit it seemed like more than one person knew) so he might not just be slinging poo.

Furthermore, those restructures that hurt us in the future now make sense. We need to get Hardy, but can't seem to work a long-term deal with him. He's TOO valuable to walk, so we needed some extra space RIGHT NOW.

Thus we free up a bit more this year, to both tag Hardy and go after low level free agents like last year.

However, if we do tag Hardy there's a huge possibility we try to trade him.

Panthers know Hardy is too valuable to walk, that doesn't mean he is too valuable to keep.

Im in the minority here but Hardy just strikes me as the type that will take it easy once he gets paid. If he gets paid dont be suprised to see a big drop off in his play. You can save this comment and revist it midway through next season.

Mother f*cker I thought you left

Just no. If we can trade for a top 5 pick, its instant franchise tackle. then a WR at 28. That's the ideal.

Just no.  If we can trade for a top 5 pick we replace what we traded with the best DE prospect in years at a 3rd of the cost, sign Brandon Albert, and pick up a wr in the 2nd, and still have enough money left over to probably sign Nicks.

I'm fine with this... But we have to make more space.. Expecting Godfrey and Edwards to be cut and hopefully get a LT and RT

Michael Oher/Eugene Monroe LT (try and land one if we can't get the other)

Geoff Schwartz RT/RG

Resign Ginn, Mitchell, and Gano to cheap deals and draft BPA BOOM!!

One can dream

A trade will probably get us a second and a third, or two seconds one in 14 another in 15, I can't see any team giving up a first for hardy, but teams will be interested in him for sure, I just don't see us actually trading him if you read between what Rivera has said which probably holds us back from addressing other more important needs.
