Cool that it was a "flash mob" concept, singers are holding notepads and they were posing like reporters... major props to Kalil!

recap for those who can't watch:

 

-Richardson sounds like he might have had one two many Bojangles meals, him speaking is is half story half heavy breathing. 

 

-Rivera hints that Gross will be around and continue with "This is Gross"----thank god

 

-Gross' speech before Atlanta game is both hilarious and inspiring

 

-the Gross highlight vid is good, I don't know if I've ever thought that about an O-lineman highlight video before

 

-Gross gets a bit emotional right when he starts speaking. tears of joy.

 

-He's only been to Richardson's office twice right when he got here, and today. 

 

-Team wanted him back but he couldn't. 

 

-***Interesting. Gross says he didn't want to leave until things were in good order. Now obviously we had a great season last year, but what I think he means is that he now sees Cam and Luke as the leaders of this team and trusts that our team is in good hands. This is a huge jump and vouch for Cam, who just a few months ago many were ready to move on from and thought would never be a good leader. /speculation

 

-"everyone's a former teammate now"......fug

 

-talks about Fox wanting "smart and tough" players, says they are great friends

 

-very first start against Jacksonville, missed his first block and thought he was a bust

 

-talks about Peppers- his worst nightmare- had to look through all panthers archives to find a pic where he looked ok against him

 

-talks about Proehl 

 

-talks about his "little buddy" Steve Smith- teammates for 13 years including college - taught him what it means to "fight and play with your heart"

 

-calls Jake an idiot and taught him "about having funny" "didn't even know how to celebrate correctly" lol

 

-hilarious story about travelle Wharton. Gross got carted off the field for the first time, he comes to and Wharton is crying, Gross says, "it's alright man I'll be fine" Wharton responds, "I just don't want to play LT"

 

-random note, gross has apparently lost weight and he looks good 

 

-he will miss running out of the tunnel- was always first one out

 

-he loved and hated being in front of team and talking

 

-got to run with ball two times in his career

 

-proudest moment as a Panther "came full circle"  when we won NFSC this year, calls Cam the future, feels like he got us back to where we belong

 

-speaks to Rivera personally, he really likes and appreciates Rivera-thinks he has improved and will only get better

 

-says Mr. Richardson and him have become friends

 

-talks specifically about Piggy, Wharton and Kalil ---those are his three great friends- damn this is making me tear up/ he claims Ryan would be terrible without him ; Kalil said he needs him to get a job in the building so he can pretend like Gross is on IR

 

-He and his wife have been dating since high school and known each other since middle school

 

-"I know it's time for me to go, I learned in college to never stay at the party too long cause that's when bad things start to happen"

 

-"I want Joe Person to stop asking me now if I'm going to retire" lololololol

 

- the already now famous- Happy Trails barber shop quartet - watch it 

 

-I love this team
