They sang 'Happy Trails' to Jordan, and ended the song with "you'll be missed on 3rd and 10". Jordan cried about 10 times during the press conference. He explained how close he was with Wharton, and how when he got knocked out during a game Wharton was crying.

And here I was expecting some dry statement...I should have known that Gross would retire in his own way. Very cool.

Talking after the press conference, said he was planning on retiring since last off season. 

 

Also plans on staying in the building.  

 

He's already lost 25 ilb's this off season.

Lord I hope local news or NFL Films or somebody got a good angle on that 'Happy Trails' performance.

 

Ryan Kalil can actually carry a tune (half-decent anyway).

Kalil and (I think) Kevin Donnalley and two other guys, one of whom was likely an old teammate (white haired).  Didn't recognize the other, though he kinda reminded me of a guy that used to play here (i think his name was Rich Montgomery but I remember they called him 'Cartman') but looked smaller than I'd expect.
