With the news of Jordan retiring, how does the Panthers proceed in the Draft?

Its going to be ugly.

Pray the defense can be even better than last year.

Little far fetched, If anything I bet the offense improves its not like Cam wasn't scrambling last year with all the pressures the OL gave up. Either we double dip at Tackle or go with 1 and get a LT via FA. We improve the passing game either with a WR like Matthews or Benjamin or go at it with TE like ASJ. We get a healthy Stewart that goes through the off season camp.I believe this is the year Stewart proves his value with a 1,000 + season with the help of a  young OL. With the return of Amini and Kugbilla who both excel at the run blocking paired with a drafted RT we will have a balanced OL that can run block and pass protect.

I don't see a philosophical change from BPA.  Now of course G-man could trade up to get one of the top three prized tackles this year, but I doubt it.

with our situation, the cap, and the way this draft is comprised i would say it is more likely to trade down than up.

BPA out of WR, CB, OL doesn't really compute. BPA means no matter what position. It doesn't mean you address needs, though in some cases it may.

Our offense struggled against the 49'ers in the playoffs and I say let's take it to the next level for our O. Get some big men like G man says he wants

OT is #1 priority. If they bring someone good in from FA; it will give us a little more wiggle room in the draft, but if no FA is brought in (and I AINT talking about some career backup brought in cheaply to compete for a starting job) you could make a reasonable argument that the 1st two picks need to be OTs.

IF theres an OT worth the 28th pick. I only see 3 worthy of the 1st round.  I see a few worthy of the 2nd. that may change tho.

O-line was already a pretty pressing need, but so was WR. So now, how should we proceed?

I have to think we need to go Oline first and foremost. Can't get it to that new shiney WR if we don't have protection, nor run the ball.

Plus it's easier to find a good WR in later rounds than a big man (not that the panthers have ever been good at late round receivers here recently)

What are your thoughts.

Nearly impossible to scheme against horrible OLine play.

My thoughts are that according to DG who is the bottom line guy, we will go BPA and not force anything. It will be the BPA between secondary, WR, and tackle. Sent from my SPH-D710 using CarolinaHuddle mobile app
