As the cap goes up the good news is we have more money but so does everyone else. One consequence of the cap rising is that the glut of players on 1 year deals and playing for less is going to dry up as teams have to spend close to the cap. Might make it harder to negotiate with players who see greener fields as the money keeps rising.

With all the holes we have because of FA's, panthers might not even have a clue about much of team till August. Free Agents aren't going to want to sign one year low deals this year with larger cap. Lot of guys will be waiting come time to start camp.

  Given he is on his rookie contract and this year he has a new line coach, let's see how he progresses. At the cost of left tackles these days, he is worth more to keep him versus trading him away.
