He would've been one of the first to restructure if he was going to be retained because Godfrey lacks leverage... With multiple players having restructured, without a word of Godfrey currently restructuring only leads to him being cut on June 1st.

Gettleman isn't going to let Godfrey touch that 7 million he's due.

I agree he's either gone or restructures. As much hate as he gets around here it would actually not be a bad idea to keep him after a restructure. It would be one less player we have find to replace him. Especially since Mikell and Mitchell both haven't been resigned.

If Godfrey is healthy & willing to take a pay cut I think he stays. Not to mention if we bring back Mitchell we could have a really good safety tandem. Maiy depends on the injury which he's had plenty of time to recover from. If Suggs big ass can come back so can he. White at one starting CB spot. Dockery will be back from injury for depth. Add a CB in the draft & FA. Hopefully Norman works out finally.

@Jason_OTC I have the Panthers in the $19M range for cap room as well. I don't know where $29M came from.

@ColinWFNZ @Jason_OTC $117.27M in '14 cap obligations with $6.01M in carry over from '13 doesn't add up to $29M in cap space for Carolina.

I think whoever is putting out this $29M number isn't including the "future contract" players that signed at the end of January. Those contracts are on the bottom of the Top 51 at around 500k each. I'd be willing to assume it's close to 20 than 30 at this point.

OTC, Spotrac and Joel Corry have held steady with the trail of restructures compared to ESPN's "cap tracker". They said $11 when people said $21, and $19 now when people had it at $29.

This will go unnoticed to those who touted David Newton was correct and that OTC/Spotrac are "consistently making mistakes"
