Kalil and Stewart Restructure

Yeah not sure if a move that saves less than $1M in cap space this year and makes it harder to cut Stewart in the future is the right one...

We have key core players it would benefit us to extend now, not to mention FA's. However, generally I don't like pushing debt down the road because eventually the bill will come due.

If Gettleman says we are 2 years from being out of cap distress, then I assume the moves he makes now ensures that this will be the case. We don't even know the details of the restructures yet. We could have dropped a year in a contract, moved money into an option bonus to be decided upon later, etc. The point is we have more money now and Gettleman seems to be stressing that we have to think about the future. Wait to see the details folks.

This x 100. He has been speaking of a plan and right budget that we must follow. All these moves aren't hurney moves were he is just living in the moment. They are building towards a greater plan for us to be in a better cap situation down the road
