Wow at the ppl in this thread just wow.

Hey I'm cool religion is teh dumbz!! Everyone look how cool I am!!

Tolerance is not a strong suit around here is it? Oh wait, everything except Christianity is acceptable, I forgot.

Guy says he's Gay he's a hero, guy says he talks to God and he's a piece of poo.

Good look huddle, real good look.

I'm Christian, but I don't believe God is telling this kid he'll play for the Seahawks. CP8789 said the same sort of thing.

As to Evangelion, JOAT is right that no one takes him seriously. It's well known that he's a numbskull.

Mr Scott, my beliefs run parallel to your own, but it was never what got me scratching my head in this thread.  My posts make my points crystal clear in that regard.

I understand.

I'm not a fan of sanctioned bigotry against Christians. But on the flipside, I can't defend what this kid is saying as sound theology.

In my opinion no matter what the belief is, walking out of the combine could be career suicide. The only reasons you'd be excused for is either illness or family emergency, other than that it'll hurt your chances. There are too many other marginal prospects willing to prove themselves

He can do whatever he wants, it's a free country. A gay man should be as welcome in the NFL as a deeply religious man. But leaving the combine was a dumb decision regardless of the reason if he actually does want to play in the NFL though.

Agreed on both.

Curious for those that are so critical of this guy (basically for non football reasons) feel about Thomas Davis claiming that God came down on the field and healed Charles Johnson's torn MCL during the Patriots game after he immediately started praying for Charles when hearing him scream after the leg sweep.

I'm not a religous guy in the least bit and maybe God really did do that, but it doesn't seem any less odd to me than God telling this guy to take a day off.

I don't know Thomas Davis personally at all but he seems like a pretty good guy from what I can tell and his high religious convictions don't seemed to hurt the locker room at all.

I'll say this, I do actually believe in God/Jesus/Holy Spirit and yes I certainly have heard from HIM and HE has indeed confirmed many times. Even saved me many headaches and I have too ignored HIM and experienced unnecessary thing in life. So I will not attack this guy. However even though I am a Christian I will be the first to admit "many" say that they have heard from God even in those in the church, and have not. In this case I guess we'll have to wait and see.... Now with that said, why call this guys a nutcase for his belief when many of your favorite player on this very team believe in the very same God as him? God>huddlers just sayin'
