Combine Winners and Losers: Day One (Bucky Brooks)

Bucky Brooks put together a very short list. The biggest loser appears to be Cyrus Kouandjio whose lackluster numbers should raise red flags to even message board supporters.  Antonio Richardson was already suspect, and he didn't do himself any favors.  I surely wouldn't use my first couple of picks on these OTs that some of us thought would be in the mix.

Austin Sefarian-Jenkins' medical problem (whatever it is) caused more question marks than answers about whether or not he is worth first round consideration, and barring some outstanding workouts before the draft, do we really want to spend our high picks on ASJ?

Greg Robinson, Jake Matthews and Taylor Lewan basically raised their stock to the point where we won't have a chance to nab one of them in the first (not that we had a real chance in the first place), so I certainly believe that the likelihood of us drafting a WR in the first has gotten a little boon---THUS FAR---when you look at the overall performances today.

There's really only one OT prospect that's got a borderline late first grade and that's Morgan Moses. Does the team like him, do they have that grade on him? If no to either of those, OT won't be a pick in the first.

I heard somewhere that Moses didn't do as well as he could have.

i think chances are very good we'll be going WR or CB in the first... and i think that the WR prospects might be a bit stronger where we pick among those who will be available.

i think also that the discussion recently from rivera and gettleman might indicate that WRs might be a bit more valuable to us and might push them ahead of others of similar talent levels.

I wouldn't say that it was Cyrus' lackluster numbers (although that's part of it) that really set him back, it was the fact that his knee was found to be completely arthritic, which one team source said was "ugly". I doubt he gets drafted, honestly, or if he does it will be very, very late.

ASJ has a fractured foot that he opted not to have surgery on. Not that big of a deal, but it will cost him another month or so of rehab.

Yep. I was disappointed too, but can't let this weekend close the door on ASJ. Here's hoping/thinking RR/DG aren't that close minded either.
