Clowney wants to be a Falcon

The guy just messed up.  Nobody picks a team like this and says stuff like, "it's close to home".  What, are you gonna be homesick if in Houston?  What about Oakland?  Man, who is advising this guy?

All the physical talent in the world can be negated easily by what is between a players ears.

I see Mack moving up during all this.

Talk about expectations for his first NFL snap.  If he doesn't destroy the NFL in his first preseason game, he's going to be labeled a bust!

Let's be really frank about Clowney.  The young man has been gifted with some of the most amazing physical gifts anyone one person could have.  Unfortunately since he's been coddled his entire life as the next big thing (which we've been talking about 'round here since he was in high school), he's got an ego several times Greg Hardy's.  At least Greg can back it up with being one of the best all around DEs in the NFL...  This ego has led him to feed into his own grandeur which is going to hurt him long term.  Think worse than Julius Peppers, who was also gifted beyond belief with his own ego.

He's going to be fun to watch run the 40 today, but after that, the team that selects him is really going to have to decide if they can break him down and build him back up into what they want.  He's kind of like a beautiful wild stallion.  Raw ability all over the place, but he's going to have to learn to use it.

Saying he'd like the Falcons to trade up for him?  That's almost as silly as saying God told you (directly) that by not participating in the draft, you're going to get picked by the Seahawks.  It speaks to a mindset of entitlement.

Now as a Panthers fan, I wouldn't mind seeing Clowny picked by the Falcons because I'm not sure they have the defensive leadership to get in his face and put him in his place.  While I don't wish bad for any of these young people, going to ATL would not be great for him, which benefits us.

He made like one good play in college. He was lazy the rest of the time. You can't ride high school success to being a top pick in the NFL. You have to put the work in in college just like everyone else. Not to even mention his off the field stuff. God I'd love if they took him
