Draft insider Tony Pauline heard from one Buffalo Bills scout that Alabama T Cyrus Kouandjio can say "goodbye" to the first-round.

Pauline called Koaundjio's workout "sluggish, slow and totally unprepared." The big left tackle posted an official forty time of 5.59 seconds and 10 yard splits of 1.79 and 1.87 seconds. Kouandjio also posted 21 bench press reps. There were some highs and lows to Kouandjio's game during his final season, but we still think he has talent.

Could be there for us...maybe even in round 2....Also see he's failing medicals.

got to admit i was interested in him.

not so much anymore.

he was one of the few 1st round OTs i thought would be available at 8. i don't think any would be right now. we might have to wait until the 2nd or third to get the next LT, but i think the guys who will be available then would still be really good.

i still think we can walk away with a starting quality LT and RT this year and not draft anay OL in the first. this is a really good deep class of tackles, imo. same with WRs and TEs....and CBs. man, what a great class to be stuck at the end of the rounds. i'm going to love this draft. so much talent and we can go so many ways the first few rounds and get good starters.

I like B Thomas, Bitonina, Billy Turner, and Mewhort in the 2nd. I just hope there's not some crazy run on O line. But yeah man, crazy all around talent this year; definitely wish we had 11 picks like the niners in this one

Am I the only one who prefers different threads for prospects this team might be interested in, instead of searching through one thread dedicated to the combine. Few pages in a thread like that, has observation and details about how the player performed at the combine. The majority of the thread is the huddlers opinion on if the player will be suitable or not. It's the off-season and almost every thread in the main forum has been on the first page for about a week now. It dulls this place down, have a combine section so we can have threads to evaluate each player, if you're worried about clutter in the main thread.

Kinda what I'm thinking.  I think we may be in no man's land right now at 28 in terms of OTs.  I think value will be there at WR or CB.  All of the legit 1st round talent OTs will be gone, so we'd likely be forced to reach if we wanted to go OT.  No thanks on reaching.  I'd rather take a better prospect at another position and wait until the 2nd or 3rd.

    • You and I both know there isn't a coach we could or can still hire that can "fix" Bryce Young. Even at mighty Alabama with one of the best modern coaches in college football history Mac Jones was still a better QB than Bryce Young. Mac Jones.... We already know how you feel about Canales on a personal level so in that regard you wanting him fired is not news. You don't have to disguise it behind this shroud of rabble about not fixing Bryce Young. To his credit he somehow had us competive against the Chiefs and the Eagles on the road with #9. But no coaching staff can overcome their starting QB turning the ball over 4 times. We definitely have developed some of our younger offensive pieces. And as far as Evero goes he has earned criticism and if he's fired so be it but in his defense many of us said in the offseason this defensive roster was a disaster waiting to happen given the resources we spent on the offense while neglecting the defense. That was Dan Morgan's plan. He swung too hard toward offense to salvage the Bryce Young trade. That's on him. We can scream about XL all we want but at least he's actually been on the field for the most part. The Brooks pick was a luxury pick at the time and now it is a Hurney level blunder. Dan Morgan has gotten a lot of early praise here when in reality he's unequivocally deserving of significant criticism. But if you say that some people get up in arms because he's a former Panther. Big whoop. He has just as much to prove this upcoming season as Canales. That's why to me in my own personal opinion I say one more season and then if it's more of the same say goodbye to both.
    • It's a decent vid with compelling reasons for his opinion. But, my thing is is that you simply can't draft McMillan thinking he is a surefire WR1. There are questions. His 40---rightly or wrongly---will play a part. I'd think that his splits (which will speak more to his game translating to the pros in my mind) are more important.  As much as you're trying to sell us that McMillan is a don't-overthink-it-type-of-player, I wouldn't say that's the case. Workouts will play a part in all of this.  At this point, I like the thought of Tetairoa. That's as much as I can give you right now.
