all numbers hold value, 40 for a player that mainly moves backwards is ugh. 10 yard split has more value, i believe for all players. running 40 on a track surface without pads and after months of practice is well nearly a fake time.

 

unless a team runs a pulling guard system, 40 is near pointless. it does help to see the ability and if hes in-shape.

 

 

getting a guy running his top speed at 10 yards > getting a fast 40. 

Fast means better feet and agility. It's no surprise all the top 5 rated OT run sub 5.0. Athletic ability is important.

I must admit that I'd rather be looking at the receivers. Of course I'm guessing that the receivers will come Monday or something when I'm at work. The Combine is just background noise for me today.  That one dude that benched 42 reps is one strong mutherfuger though.

If Bell is gone, it's almost certainly gonna be addition by subtraction.  It's tough to imagine someone actually being worse.

ASJ > Ebron 

 

ASJ is a much better run blocker and has size over Ebron. We need a TE to compliment Olsen not get a copy cat of Olsen who is horrific in run blocking.
