The Official NFL Combine Thread

he was never projected as a first round, in fact early projections had had him in 3rd.

I dunno man, I've seen a lot of mocks projecting for him to go at the end of the 1st. Would you put $10 on him going before Davante Adams? You liked quite a bit if memory serves.

Adams is ok but is not one of my faves. This draft is so deep at WR there are many good players to choose from. I would say it is going to be hard to determine who will go before whom. From early projections Adams was ahead of Landry but like I said anything could happen. Too close to call. The upside of all this is somebody has to fall and that is where hat value pick is gpoing to come. You have Watkins , Evans,  skip to Lee and Benjamin then you have everybody else. The "everybody else" are pretty much interchangeable.

Manziel actually really helped himself with the measurements. He came in close to 6 foot tall at 5-11 3/4 and had the biggest hands of any of the QB's in this draft.

Big hands is the new fad now? Big hand would matter if someone else had tiny hand. They all measured above 9 inch. Which is standard NFL size. It's the 'who ate more poop' debate.

Both LSU guys are sub 6'. Predicting a lot of empty seats on my OBJ wagon in the not too distant future....

Depends on his 40. Jermiah's expecting him to blow it up. OBJ's mom is the track and field coach at Tulane lol. Still, he did seem to have trouble separating on deep routes.

Update with OL Bench reps included

http://walterfootball.com/combine2014OL.php

Impressed with Tiny Richardson and Greg Robinson with the long arms putting up reps in the 30's. Most of the other "names" we have been following were in the low twenties, with the exception of Lewan who notched 29

Unless Robinson completely tanks on the drills, he probably should be number one.  He could easily be the next Orlando Pace type player.  Course, I always like the big uglies more than others.

Starts at 9am, will be in and out today so I am taping every days stuff so I can go back over.

For the big guys, weights, heights and bench are in the books.  Now it is footwork, using hands and cone drills, oh yeah, and the 40.

for these guys, the 10 yd split will be the part you need to pay close attention to.

Walter Football may be whacked out on mocks, but they do get the info up pretty quick and they do include the 10 yd split.
