Pro-Vick threads will not get you welcomed. Just the opposite, in fact.

Most of the people who post about the Panthers and Vick fall into one of the four categories I outlined. If you want to prove that you're not any of those things, lesson one is to learn that Vick is never, ever going to play for Carolina.

There are plenty of good football reasons (run first mentality, short, not terribly bright, lousy passer, etc) but even if you don't believe those, the simple fact is that the Richardsons would never allow it under any circumstances.

Delhomme is the QB here. The team signed him to a big deal and his teammates have rallied behind him. That's reality. Might as well accept it, because it's not changing anytime soon. And the reality of it is that while Vick might be a better athlete, Delhomme is a better quarterback. Jake will, at some point, give way to a successor, but it will not be Michael Vick.

Bottom line: Vick is never going to be a Panther, and that is a good thing. Wish all you want to, but it is not happening (nor should it) and speculating about it is a useless pasttime.

The sooner you get past that, the more likely you are to feel welcomed.

agreed. best thing to do is to accept it and move on. unless you like exercises in futility, the pursuit of this discussion needs to cease.
