Back in your "glory days"...

Baseball - I was a bada$$ in baseball. Played first base and pitcher. Played for about 11 years and eventually gave it up because I went girl crazy and I still regret it to this day. I was known for always being able to scoop the ball out of the dirt when playing first base. When I pitched, I would mix in a Dan Quisenberry 3/4 side arm and all my coaches hated it because they thought it would destroy my arm but it was effective. Made the Allstar team / All conference team every year I played. No better feeling than making contact with the ball and knowing it is going to clear the fence.

Basketball - Played for about 6 years. I was 6 foot tall when I went into junior high as a 7th grader. Played center the whole time but couldn't dribbble worth a damn. 6ft was great when you are in junior high but when you are still 6 ft tall in the 10th grade and can't dribble, reality hits becaus everyone is 6ft tall. I missed the final cut on my high school team and gave it up.

Soccer - I played about 4 years because most of my friends played but I sucked. Wasn't coordinated enough.

Football - played DE in junior high and then as a freshman I was hit hard in the chest while covering on special teams during a kickoff in our first preseason game. Next thing I knew I woke up in the hospital because I had a heart attack at 15 years old. Turns out I had a defective flapper on one of my heart valves. That pretty much ended my football days and I became the guy that recorded all the games on a video camera for tape review. That freak accident probably saved my life down the road.

As a kid I was an insanely good goalie. When they picked teams in BAYSL... ZOd may know that acronym...I was one of the top players selected.

In high school I wrestled, played football, track and field (shot put, discus, and high jump),and CYO basketball.

I enjoyed playing sports more than I was good at them. I got my growth spurt late. I went from short and fat to tall and fat my senior year.

IN college I played rugby and was actually really good. At my position (2nd row) I was one of the best in the SE. My drinking ruined that for me though.

I'm also undefeated in Huddle Jamz

Played soccer pretty much all my life through high school. Was never really great with the ball, but I was usually the fastest person on the field.

Claim to fame: I went to a new high school so we were the first ever soccer team there. I ended up scoring the school's first goal (my only goal as well) on a breakaway play. The ball bounced in a way that from midfield it was a sprint between me and the goalie to the ball. I got there first and scored. The keeper went down and broke his leg, ambulance had to come and everything. Kind of an epic first goal.

My best and favorite sport has always been basketball. From probably 3rd to 8th grade I would shoot in my driveway after school until dinner, rain or shine. I used to be automatic from three point range. Somewhere in my 20's I lost my outside shot and I'm still trying to get it back. Biggest regret is never playing in High School.

lol

thanks scp. Me and Joscott been killing it at the gym for some time now.

Your traps and shoulders are straight ripped.

I have been back at it for about 6 weeks now. You can't do much in the form of weight lifting at Planet Fitness but that's kind of what I wanted going into it. My goal was to lose weight and trim up. But now that I'm back into it I've got that itch to start lifting hard again.

No. The heaviest dum bells they have or 70's and they have two smith squat racks so there are no straight bars laying around. I guess you could dead lift in a smith rack but the rails keep it going too straight up and down. They don't have enough 45 LB plates in the place anyway.

They showed some sort of Rugby Championships from Las Vegas on one of the major networks a couple of Saturdays ago. I watched a whole match (not sure if that is what is called) for the first time. Rugby is such a badass sport and makes football look as violent as synchronized swimming.

Was it the Sevens Tournament? That was way too much running for my liking. I played Rugby Union.

I took some customers from Australia out to dinner up in Chicago. The Bears game was on and they were laughing at football.
