How does Gettlemen stack up to other GMs?

I want to see how he handles everything this season. The Hardy thing should get settled soon. I'm interested to see what FA's he'll sign, and given his approach to the offseason, he will definitely patch up some positional holes by bargain shopping.

this is like grading a president after one year, more time is needed.

i'll just add don dave gets waaaay too much credict for getting below the cap in 2013. the old cap guru was still on staff and if hurney was still gm, the same moves would have been done. but the players don dave got, well that where he gets a gold star..... too many to list and at VERY cheap salaries. his draft was ballsy, picking 2 DTs and trusting his ranking. i didnt like the KK pick, but im happy to be wrong given his play. many GM say "we are a BPA drafting team", but few follow what they preach. don dave seemed to do this in rounds 1,2, 5, and 6. drafting a RB when the team is full(i thought it was stewart insurance), just BPA. beason was still on the team and still drafted aj, BPA.

98% of the time im a BPA type of guy. (100% of the time in rounds 6th and 7th) if you need a WR and hes ranked as a 79 on your system, but a DT is there and hes a 82 on your system.....well sometimes you pick the WR.

He gets an "A" for his first year. While we did have some glaring holes, some were caused by injury to the OL, he did a great job improving the team and helping us to the NFC south championship on a very limited budget. He found some great deals on the safety's and Ginn.

It's hard to say because he doesnt have but one draft with the team. It can go in his credit that he did a good job handling the cap situation but with that said he's winning with mostly players from another gms era. Any one of us would have taken star with the pack we had last year so i can't even really give him credit for making a splash or unearthing a jewel. that said he hit on KK in the second which was a good pick and he did a good job with a lot of free agents we brought in.
