I bought it the other day for the xbox one and finally got to play it last night. It was a lot of fun. It felt different then other FPS but I fell right into the controls and concepts. Played a little this morning as well, my only complaint is that they keep throwing me in with a bunch of level 20-40s and a few time my team was a bunch of low ranked against all high ranked players. You can tell they had a weapons advantage.

This my only complaint as well. Played it maybe 4 hours total and I'm already level 24 and feeling good.

Still having the problem. I haven't played a ton and getting a scope on my carbine definitely has helped but some games I'm playing against teams who have leveled up multiple times while my team is all low ranked. I just find a new lobby when that happens but i really think they should do something to combat that prob. Hubby and bro are complaining about the same thing.

So tomorrow, Titanfall comes out for the 360.  Any takers?  I'm strongly on the fence, only because my finances have gotten tight this month.  I remember Thief, which came out to VERY mixed reviews, went only sale for $30 after a few days on XBL before bouncing back up to $60.  If Titanfall does that, I'm all over it.

So you can find several youtube videos of the 360 version of titanfall, as well as comparisons.  To me, it looks a lot like CoD (well duh!), which isn't a terrible thing.  Though from seeing the X1 and PC videos and screenshots, I do feel pangs of "me want pretty."  I want to see more of the maps before I do jump on it.

Any thoughts?  I know some of y'all think it's a gimmick game, and others are having a similar issue with the high levels mopping the floor with you.  For those getting curb stomped by the high level folks, do the AI bot enemies make it any easier?  Or does this seem like it's going to go the way of the other FPSes where you're going to constantly get stuck in games with the ubers who clean your clocks and the fun is going to fall through the floor because this is basically the only game mode?

You are always going to die when a new game comes out, you just have to get the hang of it.  If you have CoD experience the shooting at least will be familiar.  In terms of graphics, it doesn't look amazing on PC, it looks good though.  I wouldn't worry about graphics, not on a FPS, at least to a point.  The important thing is it plays well, even with a ton of Titans on the screen at once.  It's balanced.  You get used to graphics in a week anyway.

Holy crap! I bought it tonight after a terrible day, and boy! This is a fun game. I got demolished but I loved it! I actually was able to take down titans on foot and in a titan! I'm really impressed, and I'm enjoying the heck out of it!

EDIT:  So now that I'm level 12, some more response.  I still am completely in love with the game.  I don't sit down and play for hours at a time, I just don't have time.  But this is a game which I actually feel like I'm having a ton of fun, even if I'm getting killed repeatedly.

My FPS background:  I've never been big into competitive multi-player FPSs.  I did some when I got the first Modern Warfare.  It was fun for a little bit, but I never felt like I could compete with the guys(kids?) who played for hours at a time.  Halo was the same deal, people who are already really good tend to simply wipe the floor with you.  So after a few matches it's back to Skyrim or LOTRO.

What makes TItanfall so different?  I really think it's the drones.  For a bad player like me, they make me feel like I'm doing something.  I'm not just some other player who's going to get the snot beat out of me like in other games.  I always have someone who I can actually hit and kill!  It's very refreshing after my last multiplayer game!  The movement and speed of the game really set it apart for me.  Good luck being a stationary sniper, you have to move!  I was playing the dino planet campaign mission again (I'm really good at hardpoints!), and I really enjoyed the zip lines, sudden drops, and all of the varieties of entrances and exits to places.  I got someone as I was on the zip line, then drop kicking someone from a hole, and I just had the biggest, idiot grin of my face afterwords!

There are also the Titans themselves.  You are always assured of getting at least one during a match, if not more if you kill some other folks.  Being in a titan is pretty awesome!  Stomping, missiles, ect.  There are some problems with being in a titan, but it's still a ton of fun.  I'm finally getting to a point where I can customize them which brings a new level if individual fun.  I really like the Atlas.  Just fast and strong enough!  The homing missiles have been a fun change of pace as well.

Will Titanfall last?  Will it take a large share away from CoD?  Who knows?  In order for it to remain fun, they are going to have to continue to offer more game modes (for free), and more maps (for a reasonable cost!).  Some don't like Titanfall because it has a lot of similarities to COD.  Some won't like it because it's too much of a departure from CoD.  I see myself enjoying it for a while because each game is small amount of time invested for a lot of fun.  I like trying out different play styles with my builds, and I really love it when I can kill a pilot (once or twice a game!).

For those that are enjoying it, I hope you continue to do so!  I'm on the 360 version (which plays fine and looks good enough).  My XBL is dionysusfiend.  If you get me on a team, sorry if I suck =P

And may your titan fall on an enemy dropship.  I managed that, and it was pretty cool!

How is your titanfall progression going? I'm Gen 10 and can give you some pointers, especially on certain challenges you have to do to Gen up after 2. My favorite setup is carbine, satchels, cloak, and dead mans trigger. If you're going to camp out in a spot for a minute, throw down some satchels in case someone sneaks up on you and kill you, you get them too. Last night I played with a guy that had the name KEEPPOUNDING89.

Alas my progress has been delayed by this real life thing!  I did get to play a little last week, and I did manage to drop my titan on someone who just got in theirs.  It was totally awesome, they mounted, stood up, and moved out of the bubble shield and BOOM!  Talk about an awesome chance!  But funny enough, I was killed immediately after that by someone else who found me watching lol.

I am counting the days until vacation!  Then more silly, insane Titanfall fun for me!

Sure thing =)  I do, and I'm still loving it.  I only get a couple of matches a day if I'm lucky, so I'm still like level 16, but man, this game is so fun even when you suck like me =)

BTW:  If you're looking for an easy kill in Titanfall, my xbox ID is dionysusfiend

Went to my brothers house in Nola and was finally able to put hand on this! Lotta fun, love the concept and the game play, enjoy my time in titans very much. And nuclear core can be quit the advantage when timing your own demise. Kinda like: think you won this round? Think again mother fugers!!! Bwahahaha always fun to corner them and leaving them thinking they actually won for a second!
