Bobcats Trade Deadline Thread

I think its obvious no trades were going to be made until thursday after the bobcats played their 2 very important games against detroit so they were not going to be short handed and would also have a day to get potential new players acclimated to the team before fridays game.

biz just barley got a rookie fourth year deal, it mainly done to save the embarrassment of being a bust.  bobcats are using him as a number to match salary now. hes still young, just uncomfortable and lacks awareness....... looking like talent too.

I don't think it was just that...  I was watching The Beat on NBATV earlier and Aldridge said the Magic are in their second year of rebuilding and unless they got something outstanding, they actually kind of preferred to hang onto him because he's a core player they can add pieces around going for a playoff berth next season.

Rufus saying that the Turner deal isn't completely dead, but it's on life support.

Also has Woj's report about Afflalo there.

Pretty much Orlando's only going to trade Afflalo if they can get two first round picks and prospects back for him while the other team takes on Nelson's contract. They pretty much want a team to give up a set of Arm's and Leg's with a Kidney on the side for him.

League source says Magic prefer to stand pat at deadline. Also points out that Cavs, on six-game winning streak, no sure thing to make deal.

Ken Berger also reported that after the 76ers failed to find any suitors for evan turner in exchange for first round picks. That they are now looking to trade him for a second rounder.

Now I'm not super high on turner but I love him a helluva lot more than hendo especially if it costs us Gordon and a second. Hendo cannot dribble, shoot, drive, make plays, but he plays pretty good defense.

With turner u have a great ball handler, who can drive. He also isn't a shooter but I'm tired of fadeaway off balance jumpers from the baseline in isolation plays for Hendo.

Turner isn't an ideal fit bc he also can't shoot 3's but atleast he's not hesitant to shoot them when he's wide open. And he also would be bring play making talent.

Call me crazy but I would love to see turner come in fr a second rounder. See how he plays and gels with us in a playoff push. And then decide if we resign him or just let him expire. Nothing at all lost in this deal but a second rounder. We already gonna have atleast 2 picks in this draft could be more. So it's not a loss. It also helps out the bench with Hendo being the 6th or 7th man.

Whatcha think?
