Bobcats Trade Deadline Thread

If we are going to go for it this year check out this trade we should do. Trade Mkg, Sessions, Henderson, and a 1st for Rudy Gay and Jimmer Fredette. Then trade Ben Gordon and a second for Eric Gordon. Just run the old suns offense and shoot them out of the gym.

Starting lineup

Zeller

Al

Rudy

Gordon

Kemba/Jimmer

I think I threw up at the thought of having this lineup and the Bobcats actually trading for it.

Are you serious? That's a pretty good team.

If we make the playoffs we arnt getting better threw the draft and we probably won't get a free agent. We don't pay the salarys so why do you care as long as it's under the cap. Also the contracts are for 2 yrs including this yr.

I'm willing to bet one of these teams is us...

Sam Amico @SamAmicoFSO 11m

Plenty of teams also calling #Cavs about Dion Waiters, with at least one offering 1st-round draft pick, sources say. Deal seems unlikely.

Sam Amico @SamAmicoFSO 14m

Plenty of teams calling about Luol Deng, however, and #Cavs clearly open to ideas, league sources say.

Waiters missed around 20 games his rookie year with injuries and then hurt his knee again last night.  If they offered Portlands pick I guess that's ok but not the Pistons.

Luol Deng is a SF, I don't understand the attention to SF, go PF or SG.

They aren't looking for a starter per-say, just shooting help. The front office likes what mcrob brings to the team they are afraid of loosing him in fa. Lol

This team is quite a bit away from elite. Would need to get rid of Hendo and replace him with a 20ppg player capable of hitting 3's and adding a better stretch 4. Then the bench would need to be improved quite a bit.

Even then you're not elite, just a top 3 east team.

That's exactly what I'm saying. I think that Young is an average player, not great. I dont want to be stuck with mediocre players like Hendo and Young for the next couple of years.

http://fansided.com/2014/02/19/nba-trade-rumors-charlotte-bobcats-absorb-bad-contract-acquire-arron-afflalo/

Chris Mannix from SI.com states that the Bobcats so badly want to acquire an impact player like Arron Afflalo that they’re willing to absorb a bad contract to get a deal done.

Count the Bobcats — who have not made the playoffs since 2010 — among the most active teams. Charlotte is exploring “every available option” for perimeter help, according to one executive who has spoken to the Bobcats recently. That includes Philadelphia’s Evan Turner, as ESPN.com reported last week, and Orlando’s Arron Afflalo. Charlotte has two big expiring contracts in Gordon ($13.2 million) and Sessions ($5 million) and is believed to be willing to absorb a bad contract to acquire an impact player.
