Jordan Gross should have his own show on WFNZ, should he retire

Whether Jordan is done this year, or in the next 1-2 years, he should be given his own show on wfnz.

Jordan is a likable, goofy, fun guy who seems to be able to get along with everyone. He has proven himself with his podcasts, that he is intelligent enough to carry on a conversation in, not just sports, but in any situation. A "This is Gross" show would be entertaining and would be a breath of fresh air in what is otherwise stale Charlotte airwaves.

I am hoping to see him on the field next year, but if I cant see him, I would love to hear him (no homo).

Discuss.

I was thinking the same thing.  Can totally see him at the very least co-hosting and then rolling into the main role on either WFNZ or another station.  Also, the This is Gross thing could also translate to a national thing and be picked up as a weekly cast for a major network.  Not sure of the copyrights but it would be good stuff for him to do that segment with different players from different teams.

The #1 things these former NFL guys that get general sports talk shows struggle with is the offseason. If you want truly terrible radio, listen to Frank Garcia in early summer when there's no NFL to talk about and he's forced to talk about things like baseball.

Garcia is an arrogant meat heat. ME PLAY FOOTBALL ME HIT HARD ME LIKE PRETTY BLONDE ME WANT STEAK FOR BREAKFAST

Gross aspires to stay in Charlotte (so he says--good place to raise a family, real estate is cheap) and he apspires to work in the front office.  I can't tell you where I heard that, but it is part of the "Panthers or retire" pitch.  Bad strategy as a player, good strategy as a long-term employee.

His main home is in Utah, he loves Utah.
