Greg Hardy is an immature manchild losing fans everyday

You don't negotiate a contract in the public.   Gettleman will make the best business decision for the Panthers.  Hardy should talk with his agent and Gettleman in private and come to terms.  Either let him walk, make a trade, or make a deal.  When Peppers left many were upset and Peppers image was hurt.  Hardy has played well and many wish him the best, but leave or stay with class.  You never know what the future holds so always show who you are and people will think highly of you.

Exactly. Peppers was universally loved by Panterdom and people on the Huddle before he walked. Since then, he's been Public Enemy #1. People still like Hardy because he's still a Panther at the moment. The day he walks, watch how quickly people will turn on him.

I don't think I could disagree more. I'll take Hardy's direct approach to someone like Peppers' passive-aggressive bullshit ten times out of ten. I'm not gonna cry because someone is vocal about what they want. I respect it and wish more people did it.

Being vocal behind the scenes? I don't care at all. Using your public platform online to make this a one-tracked, daily crusade to people with zero control over the situation? Ehhhhh

Hardy is a nice problem to have - we know that we can build defensive talent even if we get that talent late. Michael Sam anyone - really : if no team wants him bring that kid here and throw Hardy out. Get rediculous performance on the cheap.

Really? Hardy can be replaced by a 6'1" 260 lb. rookie? That's about as ridiculous as your spelling of ridiculous.

I would argue there will be universally less vitriol toward Hardy when he leaves than there was toward Peppers.

Hardy has made it clear that he wants to be paid because he has played himself into a situation to get paid. If the generally accepted rumor around here that he was made a long term offer to stay here before the season is true, then he gambled and it paid off. Good for him. Peppers was so passive and that's why people were so heartbroken. He was given contracts of $18-$20MM and still wanted out, but people believed until that final hour he might stay, myself included. He's so soft he makes Jonathan Martin look like a bully by comparison.

Hardy may be too loud for some, but I don't mind people being vocal and direct about what they want, rather than playing games. If, nay when, he gets paid and leaves, I'll harbor no ill will toward him unless he goes to a team I hate like the Saints or Atlanta or somewhere like that.

I agree NFL player should take as much as they can get. The career of a pro athlete in any sport - football really - is tiny and you need to make what you can, when you can. The thing is, there is a pro and con with every decision you make in life. I just hope that Hardy is weighing the cons too.

Greg Hardy has tweeted or Instagrammed at least 75 times about how much money he wants or how anyone criticizing him for it is a hater

https://twitter.com/ItsGHardy

I see like one or two tweets over the past month that vaguely reference money. One was a retweet of the article and the other a retweet of a fan saying he should cash in.

I agree it is tacky but not out of place for these guys

I have absolutely no beef with Hardy or anyone else wanting to get paid as much as humanly possible. I also have no problem with Hardy's play on the field as I think he's approaching Peppers levels of greatness. However, this child is getting more annoying with each tweet and Instagram he posts. This guy is obsessed with money. It's like when someone has a funny joke that completely runs it into the ground. It was cute the first time he was all blunt about it and said he wanted to get paid, but Greg Hardy has tweeted or Instagrammed at least 75 times about how much money he wants or how anyone criticizing him for it is a hater (this last part makes sense when you consider he goes to Elevation Church). Enough already guy. Every time you tweet or Instagram this same money line, it doesn't help you one bit in getting a new contract. If anything it's making Gettleman more annoyed with how publicly you're doing this. Dave Gettleman isn't following you on Twitter; average joes many living paycheck to paycheck are. I'm personally not exactly in the poor house, but any NFL player constantly bitching about money is someone I can't bring myself to root for the moment he steps off the field. He's 25 years old and has made roughly $700,000 a year since he came into the league. Give it a rest.

Soooo…. your first time actually watching a high profile player during a contract negotiation? get over yourself.

I said right after the season ended that there were going to be quit a few fans that are going to take things way too personal when they start getting to the negotiating contracts and look at you.

Greg Hardy is about to hit the lottery he knows it(it's also something he's worked very hard for) heck everyone in the NFL knows it, he's excited about this and I would be excited about this if I was in his shoes and so would you. pretending otherwise is purely laughable.  this same type of animosity towards people was going around during the lockout when it was millionaires versus billionaires, guys quit bitching because someone is going to make more money then you could ever dream of spending it's straight up being a cry baby.

with all that said I say it's highly likely that hardy is leaving here and I give the chances of him actually staying at maybe 10% but c'est la vie, and this isn't the first time that something like this has happened(remember Moose) and it won't be the last.
