Greg Hardy is an immature manchild losing fans everyday

I have absolutely no beef with Hardy or anyone else wanting to get paid as much as humanly possible. I also have no problem with Hardy's play on the field as I think he's approaching Peppers levels of greatness. However, this child is getting more annoying with each tweet and Instagram he posts. This guy is obsessed with money. It's like when someone has a funny joke that completely runs it into the ground. It was cute the first time he was all blunt about it and said he wanted to get paid, but Greg Hardy has tweeted or Instagrammed at least 75 times about how much money he wants or how anyone criticizing him for it is a hater (this last part makes sense when you consider he goes to Elevation Church). Enough already guy. Every time you tweet or Instagram this same money line, it doesn't help you one bit in getting a new contract. If anything it's making Gettleman more annoyed with how publicly you're doing this. Dave Gettleman isn't following you on Twitter; average joes many living paycheck to paycheck are. I'm personally not exactly in the poor house, but any NFL player constantly bitching about money is someone I can't bring myself to root for the moment he steps off the field. He's 25 years old and has made roughly $700,000 a year since he came into the league. Give it a rest.

No. If you work a job and some guy you are outperforming makes 8 or 10 times what you make, sooner or later you will be annoyed and want more. Football is also brutal. Get your money now.

Again, not begrudging the guy for wanting to get paid. But there's probably been no player I've ever seen in the entire history of the league that has been on this public warpath for more money. Do it behind closed doors, don't make it your entire online persona.

I like Greg and hope he gets paid.

I like SMF and understand this thread.

Every personality has its bad side.

I hope Greg either stays here (in a good for the Panthers way) or dominates on some AFC squad after netting us a handful of picks.

You know what your problem is? You give a fug about what he is doing outside of football. Who gies a poo?

I am a football fan and Panther fan. I don't care about choir boys on the team, or badasses, or dumbasses, or greedy mutherfugers. These guys aren't dating my sister. Play good football and I'm in.

Stop involving yourself with the personal life of the players and start enjoying the game for what it is.

It's kind of like actors and hollywood. If they can act and make a good film, nice. Don't deprive enjoying it because you don't like their personal life. Who the fug cares, you have no personal connection with them.

dont hate on the kid. The NFL is BRUTAL on these young kids - they use them and dispose of them year in and year out. When one of them makes it... he should be proud and shout it at the top of his voice.

Hardy is a nice problem to have - we know that we can build defensive talent even if we get that talent late. Michael Sam anyone - really : if no team wants him bring that kid here and throw Hardy out. Get rediculous performance on the cheap.

Its all about economics and i beleive Gettleman is the guy who understands this. Now i wish hed wave that magic wand and get us godamn receivers.

You don't negotiate a contract in the public.   Gettleman will make the best business decision for the Panthers.  Hardy should talk with his agent and Gettleman in private and come to terms.  Either let him walk, make a trade, or make a deal.  When Peppers left many were upset and Peppers image was hurt.  Hardy has played well and many wish him the best, but leave or stay with class.  You never know what the future holds so always show who you are and people will think highly of you.

Some people can separate the two. I can't. If the Panthers signed Richie Incognito, I would be rooting against him even if he was a Panther. His own personal success would be tied to the success of the team. There are some people so terrible that you can't hope they have any personal success at all.

Now Hardy isn't at that level, not at all really. I think he's a funny guy; I want him back next year. But what he's doing IS an insult to people that wear his jersey that work at McDonald's or are rocking the unemployment checks right now.
