Journalism School 101: Never say anything on camera you're not 100% sure about. The guy was probably just trying to ad-lib a question on the spot. He made a mistake anyone could make...well maybe not anyone. He made a mistake an idiot or a racist would make. But it never would have happened if he stuck to the script.
