Huddle opinion....cut Godfrey resign Mitchell multi year deal

Mike Mitchell...4 int,67 tackles,2 ff,4 sacks....27 years old.Not the best cover guy, but with better corners would be okay.Godfrey coming off major injury and a big cap hit this year.Do not let him walk and test FA.Lets resign MM for a few years and part ways with Godfrey.This should be one of the top guys we settle with early on.Yes or no?

seems pretty obvious what we should do. one guy proved himself and changed the dynamic of the secondary and the other costs a lot of money and has nothing to show for it. what's to debate?

I like Godfrey but he is coming off a achilles injury and the defense got much much better after he got hurt. there is a reason for that

Seems like the logical thing to do... the whole dynamic of the defense seemed to change when MM started, they played with an attitude that hasn't been seen for a long time. Godfrey's a great kid, but he's not worth the cap hit the team would have to absorb.
