Without a dominant DL and CJ on the the other side..Hardy is a 8 or 9 sack defensive end. He is a very good player but dont be fooled, the pieces around him helped greatly.Don't be suprised if he leaves and doesn't match the numbers he has had the last two years. It wouldn't be the first time a player moved on and never regained or matched his production with his previous team. The next time you hear the name "kraken" may be when that crappy movie is on the tube.

No, I feel you man. Gettleman is no doubt been working on restructuring deals every day since our season ended. He's trying to figure out if we can afford to carry the 12 million cap hit if we tag him.

I trust the guy, whatever he decides to do, I'm good with it.

I agree. There's a lot of things we can do in this situation, and I absolutely trust Gettleman to do what's best for the team. We'll just have to wait and see.

If we have to use the franchise tag on him we'll either see Cam's contract with some very Cap friendly numbers for the first year or two or we'll use the option year and do Cam's contract next year.

Gettlemen just needs to ask Cam if he's got enough money to hold him over until next year.

Charles johnson is a beast all the time......hardy had what 4-6 sacks against Atlanta.......have fun in Oakland playing for a horrible team, raking in money...not winning more then 8 games a year...not winning a division title...not winning a superbowl.....KEEP POUNDING!

I don't understand why everyone thinks he's going to go to Oakland. Lovie smith has already stated they need pass rush badly, and have a ton of cap room as well. I'm sure Tampa would love nothing more than to ****** away the kraken.

Per Espn Tampa only has about 17 million in cap space with 45 players signed...Oakland has like 63 million in cap space....KEEP POUNDING!

Tampa can also release Revis and immediately free up his 16m cap number. So, make that 33m whenever they want.

I don't think they'd do that, and if they did then that would be good because he's still an elite shutdown corner. I'd be happy with them losing Revis for an overrated Hardy if it comes to that.
