They might keep Hardy one year if Gross decides not to come back.  Only scenario I can see

Gross already has a cap hit of over 5 million for the season even if he retires. There just isn't enough money to field a competitive team and sign Hardy to any type of deal that he would sign.

I really hope Gettlemen can work out some kind of sign and trade.  I think the non-exclusive tag would be a good way to go.  He gets to test the market and see for himself what his value is.  Either he's not worth that much and we get him to sign a reasonable deal for the future or he is worth what he wants and another team gives up some draft picks for him.

I am with you there.  I don't want the team to suffer so Hardy can get a passifier.

Truth of the matter is, for any job on this planet, if I outperform or perform equally to someone else who is the exact same position as I am and he's making exponentially more, I am going to point to his salary and demand the same amount.  Especially when I was being substantially underpaid while doing so.

I'm not mad at ya Greg.

CJ should be giving Greg some of his money so that he can keep him on the line.  If CJ is the sole focus of the o-line line, he isn't going to put up any gaudy numbers himself, and with his contract he'll be an attractive cut.

If someone wants to pay him a ton of money then I hope they want to trade a first for him. If I couldn't sign him I would tag him and try to trade him. If no one bites I would rescind the tag and let him go.  Hopefully someone out of the division bites.  If he wants to stay here I am sure we will give him enough money to never have to worry about working after he retires. Job satisfaction should matter when either way he will have more than he will able to easily spend.
