The best Sweet Tea thread

No surprise what the best sweet tea is....Bojangles. Half sweet, half unsweet, over ice, add a lemon.

Saltworks II in Wilmington, NC had the best sweet tea known to man kind. Haven't been there in 15 years so things may have changed, but their meat and 3 veg with their sweet tea would make you slap your grandma.

I agree....I grew up on sunbrewed tea and even after 20 years of living down here, I just can't see me ever being able to stomach a sweet tea. I know I am not in the norm and so many people like it but it's like liquid sugar to me.

Smithfield's BBQ has pretty righteous tea. They get bonus points for serving it a 52 ounce Styrofoam cup, and they have the rabbit-pellet style ice that I really like for whatever reason.

McCalisters Sweet tea and unsweet tea is very good.  I've never had Just fresh's tea, but I'd say it's got everyone else here hands down, Bojangles and McD is honestly poo when compared.

Bojangles has become too hit or miss.  Sometimes it's so sweet it is undrinkable.

 

 

Best sweet tea has just the right amount of sweetness that isn't overbearing.  Throw a lemon in that sucker and rejoice.

I lived their for 1 year in 02-03 and loved that damn place. Don't specifically remember the tea there but remember eating at that place.

Harpers Restaurants have my favorite sweet tea. I don't drink sweet tea anymore, and I'm afraid that if I start again, it'll be like crack and I won't be able to stop.
