Well, well its no secret our offense needs help next year and we should be in the hunt for a top seed once again. If we are on a playoff run and Gonzo wants to come here could/would we take him? 

 

And dont give me the bs that he wouldnt play because we are in the falcons division, Favre did the exact same thing. If the man wants to play and we give him a chance i think it would benefit both parties.

I would take Tony Gonzalez in a heartbeat. Even at his advanced age, he would be the best TE to ever wear a Panthers uniform.

I don't like the fact that he is sitting back trying to land on a team to get a ring. I think he wants to be courted and wooed.  If refs start calling pushoffs, his career would be over.  I kinda feel as if he threw Matt Ryan under the bus.  I am not sure that his selfishness would not be a distraction.  When you make statements about going to a winner, that is all it is. 

 

A friend of mine in Atlanta said there was a large group of fans who hated TG because he made everything about him.  I am not sure that I agree from our perspective, but it makes me wonder.

 

Still, hard to say no to that kind of talent.

If Carolina is a contender next year and for some reason Olsen is out or they just need another receiver, I'd welcome him.  He's one of the greatest players of all time and would definitely make an impact on the field, even at his age.  Would like to see him get a championship on Carolina.

Nope...don't want....time to give B.Williams a shot...get him ready for training camp and let him play. Don't want a TE on his last legs when we may have the answer waiting for a chance. If a quality rookie TE should fall to us in the mid rounds then do that too. Would rather have two prospects then an old TE that will be done after one season.

He would probably make more money wearing Carolina blue than he would playing for the Panthers. That said, I'd like to see him come to Charlotte.
