Gonzo in Carolina Blue?

Appearing on ESPN's NFL Live Thursday, retired TE Tony Gonzalez left open the possibility that he'd sign with a contender for the "stretch run" in 2014.

Gonzalez insisted last month that he was "at peace" with his decision to retire, but the fact that he would even entertain such a hypothetical is proof that he's still not quite ready to call it a day for good. Gonzalez looked like a player who could play another two or three seasons in 2013, so this definitely won't be the last you hear about possible return scenarios. We've got a new Favre on our hands.

 

Well, well its no secret our offense needs help next year and we should be in the hunt for a top seed once again. If we are on a playoff run and Gonzo wants to come here could/would we take him? 

 

And dont give me the bs that he wouldnt play because we are in the falcons division, Favre did the exact same thing. If the man wants to play and we give him a chance i think it would benefit both parties.

Why would we pick up Gonzales in December for a playoff run?  That would totally impact the chemistry of the team and not in a positive way. We need a second TE for the season not the last 4 or 5 games.

I absolutely love and respect Gonzo and would be ecstatic to see him in a panthers uniform if it wasn't for Olsen being the best TE we've had since Walls. Olsen is only going to get better. Gonzo is at the twilight of his career.

I still want a YOUNG TE in the draft to grow with Cam for a decade+. ASJ please. No Gonzo. Not gonna happen and don't want anyway.
