Kelvin Benjamin interview on WFNZ

Alot of morons are underrating him. Moncrief has a big frame, good speed and is great after the catch. He reminds me alot of Gordon.

I'm hoping he drops into the second round or third round but if he runs at least a 4.51 and has an above average three-cone drill, then someone could take him earlier.

What if he run a 4.4

This all sounds like Cam all over again "too raw", "won't translate". 6ft5, 235, and could play TE in the NFL. You can't teach big and fast. IF this guy lives out his potential in the NFL teams will be very sorry they passed. If he goes to the NFL and gets stronger he will be a beast.

A TE playing QB and a TE playing WR. Perfect.

Being 24 is a big deal, especially for a WR lacking field awareness and the fundamentals. Thus, why his age is viewed as a major warning. Cam declared for the NFL at the ripe age of 20. He's now 24 and still has ways to go before being a Top 5 QB but he's made fantastic strides. Can we take the identical risk for Benjamin as a first round pick? I doubt it. You assume Kelvin will last 10+ years in the league but that's all speculation. The average WR career is 6.3 years. So, in order for us to maximumly exploit his talents, Benjamin will have to be polished by his sophomore season.

Cam was the exception. Not the standard, most wrs will be what 22? Add on 2 years is not that big of a deal. Especially for one with the talents that this young man has. I said if*. if i can get 10 years out of him its worth it. Cam was young and an underclassman. Brandon weeden was drafted by the browns in the first round at the 22nd spot and he was 28. I don't think its as big of a deal as your making it out to be. Of course you take notice, but you don't put a negative beside his name because of it.

I like him and a couple other if the big wrs in this draft...

The way to beat big physical corners have bigger more physical wrs.

I agree. We need size at receiver. We aren't going to get by the Seahawks secondary with Brandin Cooks (or the like) and Smitty...

Yeah, he has potential and I like him but drafting him has its risks. Benjamin has alot of drops, he's raw and he'll be the oldest WR in the draft -- which is a big deal considering how long that window stays open.

I generally agree. Benjamin drops way too many balls for my taste, but we are drafting at the end of the 1st round-- Doesn't all picks have a measure of risks? Especially those at and below where Benjamin is projected?

If Benjamin ends up being top 20 at his position, he would be well worth the pick.

THIS!!! I think people dont realize how hard it is picking in the low 20s of the first rd cause its pretty much an overrated 2nd round pick in my opinion. Your not gonna get many "sure" picks and i think Panthers made the right one at 28th overrall.
