Johnson was truly a great defensive mind. You can't possibly give him too much credit for the success of the Eagles over the past several years. He received a lot of accolades, and deserved them all.

From what I've read, a nice guy too. Sad.

I admired him. He could have gone and been a HC anywhere but stayed as the DC in Philly. Where I believe his replacement will do a good job. JJ was in a league all his own. God Rest his soul.

Very sad news for the Johnson & Eagles family and the NFL. What an awesome defensive mind that won't be around to continue to terrorize offensive coordinators in the league.

I know the Eagles training camp will NOT be the same without him yelling at rookies and veterans alike. He was a fiery coach, apparently.

Sad to see him go. RIP JJ.
