Kiper believes we'll draft the next Steve Smith: Cooks

I'd really like it if we drafted someone who was a big possession receiver and a jump ball threat. Smitty is Smitty, and fights for the ball like he's 6'4 230. I've never seen a player of his size play so physically and aggressively, and I don't think we'll see one again like him for a long time (if ever).

Right now, we really don't have anyone on the roster who we use consistently in jump ball situations. Dunno why we don't ever try those with Olsen, maybe it hasn't occurred to Shula yet to throw fade routes to his tallest receiver? On a related note, I was looking at draft profiles from some of our current players the other day. I had totally forgotten that Lafell was supposed to be a big physical possession guy like Dwayne Bowe, lol at how odd that seems now.

Our "need" at LT has yet to be determined, but I believe Gross returns and helps us out, letting us replace one bookend this offseason.

We NEED two. Bell fuging sucks and Gross is good but old and even if he does come back it will likely be for one year. With a draft this stacked in great offensive tackle depth, there is no need to put off the inevitable. Get a new starting RT and get a guy to have a year to learn behind gross, that can immediately start at RT the following season.

Not sure why people hate kiper. Kiper is great and great for the draft bis. He made famous the NFL draft and grew the biz. He's not a bad draft guy and i prefer him over many others,no one gets them right everytime.

Kipper gets paid more than anyone in the biz to supposedly get some correct every once in a while. He may be pretty good with some of the players and how he projects, but he is horrible at discussing teams and their needs.

Not to mention he loses his cool way too easy when people disagree with him, which is pretty funny though...starts shakin and sweating and stuttering...bwahahaha
