Looking at it from that perspective I would have to agree.

RW is a good QB and a play maker but Cam is a mega superstar. Cam will always be judged by how he carries his team because he'll never have as good a team around him as Wilson. Just the reality. Because of Wilson's limitations there will always be great players around. He will never be the $100 mil guy. Cam on the other hand will always be a top 5 guy in salary thus will restrict the talents around him. So, Cam will always be asked to make up for his team's weakness. Those are two different players with different expectations.

If you consider Flacco's contract it's not hard to imagine that Wilson could draw the big bucks.

Wilson is a way better player than fluko. The organization overreacted to his SB. Although he got that big contract I don't think anyone outside the organization ever argue that he's a $100mil guy. The perception around the league is he's just fluko. I don't think Flacco will finish his contract there. It only take 2 miss playoffs for a QB controversy and it's coming.

Yes, the possibility is obviously there.

 

Russ will probably have the better career. He's beyond Cam right now obviously. But Cam has the better chance at becoming an iconic legend.

Agree but we're comparing just the two players, not the whole organization. It's not a slight against Wilson. But sometimes you can only ask but so much from a 5'10 frame. Wilson is a big time play maker and so is Cam but Cam is 6'5 250. He's as big as Lebron. The man is a beast. DCs have nightmare game planning for him. Wilson will always be respected and Cam will always be feared. Speaking strictly on the football field.

You have to take into consideration that Wilson is small and moves like a madman in and out of the pocket.

I think when DC's catch up he may be in real trouble. In addition to the fact that he will get slower by the year.

Cam on the other hand is growing leaps and bound as a pocket passer which is fine by me.

My heart drops when he takes huge hits.

I think Cam will be far more successful over a long period of time.

RWilson obviously fell into an extremely favorable situation in Seattle. Great coaches. Top defense. Weapons.

We all know what Cam inherited.

Wilson is a special quarterback no doubt. I think he will be a top five QB for the next 10 years. But Cam is on another level physically. If you were creating the perfect QB from scratch, it would be Cam. I would bet my car Pete Carrol would take Cam over Wilson right now straight up.

Wilson reminds me of a mobile mini-Brees. Cam is just in his own league. Both will be great for a long time.

depends on how you measure success. there's no doubt that cam has been asked to do a lot more, and there's no denying that wilson is in a better situation.

One thing we learned about this season was this football royalty crap that was hovering around the Manning family and the NFL  . To the point where people thought they could find a 'replacement' through the Luck family. Fans seems to prefer the hard working blue collar guy with all the talent instead of just an idea. This ain't no middle age England monarchy crap. And if Luck was really hyped on that basis(which I think he was) rather than real talent, let me say this, I'm going to enjoy the circus in Indianapolis.

I agree with everyone except for Kaepernick. And my thoughts on him having nothing to do with our playoff game or any of that, it started last year when he became starter and throughout this entire last season. Kaep is a terrible decision maker, especially when he's under pressure. He has elite arm strength, but struggles with accuracy. His running ability bails him out of a lot situations and that's mainly because his receivers and RBs are amazing down field blockers. Yeah he has speed, but he only gets to use it because of those guys, and not to mention their top 3 o-line. Kaep will get hurt with his running and defenses will be able to contain it (like we did in the reg. season and Seattle did all 3 times they played). Kaep will never be a top 10 QB and won't be the "future" unless he starts improving a whole whole lot the next couple seasons. I don't see that happening though, especially when they'll lose some pieces when they have to give him a big contract.

I guess time will tell, he's only played two seasons.

I honestly just hope they constantly try to outshine each other for the next ten years. Regardless of who is seen as the "better" player in the end, that competition would be fun to watch.
